Alumina
Offers a combination of good mechanical and electrical properties leading to its use in a wide range of products. MTC Stourport offers a number of purities to match specific application requirements.
Zirconia
Displays superior mechanical properties even at extreme temperatures. Stourport’s Yttria Partially Stablised Zirconia is bio-compatible and conforms to ISO13356, making it ideal for a range of medical applications.
Magnesia (Luminex)
Used primarily in heat engineering applications such as cartridge heaters and thermocouples, due to its unique properties, having both excellent thermal conductivity and electrical insulation at temperatures of up to 1200°C.
Silicon Nitride
For highly demanding thermal and extreme wear applications. Exceptional thermal shock resistance & widely used in cyclic thermal applications. Silicon Nitride is also resistant to attack by many molten metals leading to its use in metal handling applications.
Steatite
A combination of excellent electrical properties and cost-effective manufacturing techniques makes Steatite a leading material for volume manufactured components in electrical and domestic equipment.
