MTC Stourport provides Silicon Nitride material which is used in high purity Polysilicon manufacturing for the semiconductor and solar industries.

Silicon Nitride’s ability to withstand highly corrosive atmospheres and high temperatures of up to 1450ºC make this an ideal structural material for Polysilicon processing.

The material exhibits the following properties:

  • Excellent thermal shock resistance
  • Maintains its mechanical strength in high heat and does not break down
  • It is electrically insulating
  • Very simple to very complex shapes can be manufactured which are tailored to customer specification.
  • Using Silicon Nitride as a structural component provides much longer processing periods than any other material, providing cost savings

MTC Stourport has tailored this material to suit this type of environment, so contact us today to find out how we can assist you.
