Fluid Handling
MTC Stourport has extensive knowledge and skills in manufacturing and supplying volume precision valve plates and counterface seals for a wide range of fluid and pneumatic control valve assemblies.
Superior high grade ceramics based on our HILOX™ grades of 961, 965 and 991 were originally developed for valve designs in the faucet market.
Today these materials are more commonly incorporated in to high precision valve and sensor assemblies including such as:
- blood separation units,
- high wear pump seals
- cab levelling air valves
- thin wall pressure sensor bodies
The materials are precision ground and finished to extraordinary flatness <=0.6µm, to surface finishes 0.04 -0.4µm Ra.
A combination of controlled processing, with exceptional wear and corrosion properties makes the MTC materials ideal for designing into a wide range of fluid valve seal products, including aqueous, chemical and gaseous applications.
